Out of their love for Terriers, my parents, Hugo and Joanne Nykamp, established Meadowaire Kennels in 1955. Their vision for Meadowaire was a family-oriented kennel that promoted Sound dogs through responsible research and breeding, as well as family dogs with good temperaments. They also worked towards breeding versatile dogs that can serve in many different roles.

 

         Meadowaire Kennels continue this vision of raising high-quality Airedale and Russell Terrier puppies through selective breeding, extensive socialization, and a comprehensive puppy head start program. All Meadowaire puppies are born and raised in our home and have routine interactions with children, other dogs, and household activities. They watch tv, listen to music (Mozart, light jazz, and 80s rock are their favorites), play on their playgrounds, exercise outside, and take long walks.

         Over decades Meadowaire Terriers have enriched our family and the life of hundreds of other families as well. When it comes time to find a home for our puppies, we always strive to find the right family match while also maintaining the highest quality and temperament.
